  1. Like that the Psalmist reminds of the Lord’s great and might acts for Israel and especially calls on the priests and Levites to sing praise.

  2. Read Psalm 134,135. The Lord chose Israel to be His from among all the nations even though they didn`t deserve it. It was clearly His choice for He could have chosen any of the nations. As it says in verse 6 [ Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that did He in heaven, and in earth, in seas, and all deep places.] In the following verses from 7-12 describes some of what He did. For He alone is God and all other gods are false gods. God bless us for He has chosen us to be His because of what Christ has done on the cross. We as Gentiles were grafted in.

  3. Praise God in all things, remembering all He has done. Praise Him for His power and His might and also for His mercy and His grace!

  4. Our God is worthy of great praise for all He is and for all He has done. How fitting especially for those who served in the temple to not be familiar with their tasks but praise God in the midst of them. He does whatever He pleases because no one and nothing can come against Him. He has proved Himself time and time again to be powerful and able to accomplish what He desires. The other things we may worship, the idols of the past and the present, have no substance in themselves, but we give them substance. God is all that He is, all by Himself and welcomes us into relationship with Him! How fitting for us to lift hIm high and praise Him!

  5. Our God:
    For I know that the Lord is great,
    And our Lord is above all gods.
    Whatever the Lord pleases He does,
    In heaven and in earth,
    In the seas and in all deep places.

    Their gods:
    The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
    The work of men’s hands.
    They have mouths, but they do not speak;
    Eyes they have, but they do not see;
    They have ears, but they do not hear;
    Nor is there any breath in their mouths.

    Those who make them are like them;
    So is everyone who trusts in them.

  6. It is natural and proper to raise our hands in the sanctuary while we praise the Lord. Let us do this more often while we sing in church with our worship team! The things people idolize in this world cannot see, hear, or speak. Those who revere them are just like these things. They do not know or understand the ways of the Lord and how great and awesome a God he is. They trust in themselves and their own power, and this leads to difficulty, despair and at the end of their lives, ultimate destruction.
