For all the amazing power, all the miraculous signs and wonders, for the awesome creations made by His hand….He still has endless love and mercy for the likes of me. So humbling!
Read psalm 133-137
Day four 1 John 4;20,21
Praise the Lord for His mercy endures forever. He is everlasting no matter what the circumstances He has allowed or brought us through. It reminded me of a song by Michael W. Smith which instead of saying His mercy endures forever it reads His love endures forever. Great is our God. I am not sure of the name of the song but he repeats His love endures forever many times after a statement of God`s person and activity. Great is our God.
What a reassuring promise..
Psalm 136
“Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.”
Psalms 136:26 NIV

Psalms136-137. I too thought of the song Dennis reported. Songs speak to me and are very meaningful. They help put the written words and the spoken words together and I think about the words longer than just reading the words. God is truly loving and merciful and endures forever.
Psalms 136-137; Judges 9
Psalms 136-137
The Psalmist uses creation, the redemption from Egypt and establishing them in the land as expressions of God’s love and reasons to believe that His love endures forever. How many things do we see in our lives that reflect God’s love to us that cause us to praise Him and affirm in our hearts that His love is always there for us. What greater privilege could there be than to know that God loves us. The best response to that love is to trust and obey…for to not do so is to reject that love.
And how hard it was for the Jews to be exiled to a foreign land. You can understand their desire to remember Jerusalem, the city that was dear to God and yet was lost because of the Jews defiance. I think we can all agree that being glad about dashing infants against rocks even in response to the Babylonians treatment of them is pushing it too far. Aren’ we glad that we can say vengeance is God’s? It is His job to repay.
His mercy endures forever!
The awesome power that God has to create all things is revealed in his love for us when he lifts us out of a difficult place, protects us from our enemies, and provides for our needs. His love is infinite; it goes on forever. To meditate on this truth is to experience real peace and comfort that only the Lord can provide.
