Psalms 132-133 (NIV)
A song of ascents.
1 Lord, remember David
and all his self-denial.
2 He swore an oath to the Lord,
he made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:

Psalms 132-133 done.
Day two 1 John 3;17,18
Read Psalm 132,133. It is important to God for believers to dwell together in unity. For He wants us to agree together in Him but not compromising the Word of God. His Word should be the standard for how we live in our daily lives. We fall so far short but we should still strive to be like Him and live as He lived. Colossians 3;17 [ And whatever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.] Ephesians 4;2,3 [ With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love, Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.] God bless us all as we strive for this unity in Him.
Psalms 132-133
How wonderful it is to have a place to worship God and fellowship with other believers. We are blessed to have our church and may we strive to always be in unity at LHCC.
David certainly desired to be the one to build the temple but God gave that job to Solomon, but that did not stop David from wanting to see it happen and do all that he could to make it happen. This Psalm expresses those sentiments. God had chosen Zion and was pleased that a place would be constructed to be the expression of His presence with His people and how awesome that they would be able to meet with Him there. God desired righteousness amongst His people and how much better things would have been for the Jews if they had just remained faithful to the covenant. But God blessed David in spite of His faults and anointed Him and blessed Him. And yet God’s desire goes beyond just how we would engage with Him, but also how we would engage with each other. What a blessing when believers in God dwell in unity and express that in relationship with each other. May we see that in our assembly as well as in and between others as well!
Psalms 132-133
“For there the Lord commanded the blessing—
Life forevermore.”
Eternal life, the ultimate blessing in Christ.
The Lord has chosen Jerusalem as his dwelling place forever and ever. God desires us to live united with one another with love, encouragement, and support working together to advance the kingdom of God.
