and he answers me.

  1. The Psalmest is in great distress because of the lying lips and surrounded by people who don`t want peace when he seeks it. He also knows the Lord will hear him. For in Psalm 121 he lifts his eyes to the Lord which is his help. The Lord will protect him wherever he goes. But it is a process to be aware of the Lord and how He is using events and situations to bring about his steps as he follows Him. In Psalm 122 he states that he is glad when he goes to the house of the Lord. This is the Jewish temple but we can apply it to when we gather with other believers to worship the Lord. Acts 2;42 [ And they continued stedfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. ] Philippians 2;1,2 [ If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Melodye and I both miss the fellowship in person but can`t be there right now. Hope everyone is doing well.

  2. Psalm 122:1 expresses an attitude few in this world share. To come before God gladly, willingly, invited by others is cause for rejoicing indeed! We are blessed to have our worship team, their hearts’ desire is to prepare us for the message Pastor Pete has been led to share. They invite us with their Spirit to come into God’s house. We are blessed! -gy

  3. How privileged and blessed we are to have God’s presence with us! There is nothing better than having Him as a refuge and a place to run to when life/people let us down. How awesome to know at a moment we can turn our hearts to Him and find the king of the universe willing to hear and answer according to what is best. Hopefully we all know where our help comes from and we look to Him often, practicing the presence of God. And then to imagine God has ordained special places for His people to gather together and worship Him, to grow in the knowledge of Him and to pray for God’s peace to be on God’s people and God’s places.

  4. Reciting these truths in times of unrest gives me much peace, comfort and assurance that God is with me.
My help comes from the Lord
    He watches over me
He will not let my foot slip
He will keep me from all harm
He will watch over my life
