  1. Mordecai was second to king Ahasuerus and promoted by the king. He was considered great among the Jews. They are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia. This is the conclusion of this book. This is how Esther and Mordecai are remembered in the Bible. Mordecai is listed in Ezra and Nehemiah and Esther isn`t mentioned anywhere else in scriptures that I remember but we do have the feast of Purim that she brought about which the Jews still celebrate every year since that time. The Jews also read the book of Esther at this feast. Mordecai and Esther are good examples for us to follow even with their faults which they had. Follow the good that they had and not their hated, etc. I was reading in Isaiah 57 the other night and found this verse which applies to Esther and Mordecai and ourselves. Isaiah 57;15. [ For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the heart of the contrite ones.] This is how we are to live in our daily lives with Jesus. God bless us we follow Jesus.

  2. Mordecai’s new position reminds me of verses on God’s favor and giving also the favor of men.
    Proverbs 3:4
So you will find favor and good repute
In the sight of God and man.
    Proverbs 12:2a
A good man obtains favor from the Lord.

  3. Esther 10: How I yearn for leaders to seek the wealth of the people, and speak peace, as Mordecai did. God seeks the spirit that yields to righteousness, as Dennis said. In such hearts rest God himself, as a temple made without hands.

The book of Esther encourages me to be that kind of temple, though hard it is. I see from Esther that God exists and moves among men today, not seen, heard or felt, but real nonetheless. I will remember Esther as the book of today, God moving without being named, but as real as the effects of wind prove the invisible wind exists. John 3. -gy

  4. What a fitting conclusion to show that Mordecai is honored by the king to show God’s hand on him as well as a greater assurance that what was established in this time through Esther and he, would continue. That the safety, life and protection that the Jews celebrated in Purim would not be short lived with both Esther and Mordecai having the kings ear.

  5. The book of Esther was so full of God’s hand in action and yet He is never mentioned. I was so surprised when Pastor commented on that in the beginning of our reading of this book and it is because even without being mentioned His plan, purpose, and provision is so evident and He is truly honored through Mordecai and Esther’s actions. Just a reminder that God is always working even when we don’t think He is there as long as we continue to honor Him in all we do and seek Him in all things.
