  1. 16How much better to get wisdom than gold,
to get insight rather than silver!
This Proverb makes me think of the world and what it shows us is important to work and strive for. Things so fleeting and yet the world makes them seem so important. The world listens to people that are just fools with deceitful words and holds them in important position but they are so far off from the truths of God.
We need to remind ourselves that this life is short and everything in it stays here when we die so we should hold dear the ways of God that will lead us to eternal happiness beyond our worldly expectations!

  2. So hard to comment on the Proverbs as each one deserves notice and stirs thoughtfulness and conviction in the heart. There’s a way that seems right to a man but in the end it leads to destruction seems to a central thought that runs through. Pride is so dangerous because it blinds us to our weakness and therefore comes before a fall. And yet it leads us to think we know what we are doing and justifies all kinds of evil, but the consequences continue to unfold. Far better to commit our way to the Lord and find our plans succeeding, both because righteousness is it’s own reward and because God is able to show the most favor when we are most righteous.
