  1. 9Whoever would foster love covers over an offense,
    but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.
    How we handle conflict can so easily take us away from God’s will. We are not to turn our hurt into gossip but rather go to the one that hurt us in love. Likewise when someone comes to us with gossip our response also should be to encourage them to settle it with that person rather to return the hurt with slander behind their back. Funny how simple matters become so full of drama just because we respond outside the will of God for us!

  2. This set of proverbs focus more on human relationships and the things that build them up and what tears them down. It so important to remember how interdependent we are and how much our actions and words effect others. We are wise to treat others the way we would like to be treated, and to be honest in our dealings, to not stir up strife, and to love and be there for each other. We are not to return evil when someone is good to us, or be foolish in our dealings, or not learn from correction. There are just so many good principles here about how we should and shouldn’t be…..
