Hosea 6 (NIV)

Israel Unrepentant
1 “Come, let us return to the Lord.
He has torn us to pieces
but he will heal us;
he has injured us
but he will bind up our wounds.
2 After two days he will revive us;
on the third day he will restore us,
that we may live in his presence.
3 Let us acknowledge the Lord;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth.”...........Continue Reading

    The work that was done on the cross makes us all acceptable to God no matter how far we have fallen God will always accept us back! Israel was a great example of that….it doesn’t mean there won’t be correction or judgement for the messes we have made but God provided a way for us all to come back to Him!

  2. You can just hear Hosea pleading with the people to return to God. Yes they had suffered at His hand, but He is ready to restore them and make them whole again. And yet in spite of all God had done, both in blessing and cursing, in spite of this last ditch effort, the people are unwilling. They remain committed to their unfaithfulness and their sin and consider God only briefly. How often do we give God small pieces of us and we think it is enough, but we really aren’t acknowledging Him and honoring Him the way that He requires and desires. How comforting that He desires mercy and not sacrifice, acknowledging Him in our hearts and not burnt offerings. It is faith that matters to Him, a faith that leads to action is the only thing that pleases Him.
