What a special Passover this must have been after having not been celebrated for so long and to have people from all of Israel join in. How wise Hezekiah was to call everyone to celebrate what God intended. And to see that God made adjustments for the well intentioned but not absolutely correct just shows His grace and looking at the heart more than the outward appearance. And it is so good when the Bible gives all the details that were involved to give us an appreciation for what was called for under the law.
2 chronicles 30 Reminds me of The parable of the Great banquet found in Luke 14:14-24 and The parable of the wedding banquet found in Matthew 22:1-14 How good of Hezekiah to want for him and the people to return to the ways of the Lord .

Beautiful to see the people return to the passover tradition after so long. Sad that some didn’t even really know how it was to take place for it had been so long. But like He always does, God afforded them grace because their hearts were i the right place.
