2 chronicles 27
With a mostly righteous father and a presumed righteousness mother (a daughter of Zadok the priest), Jotham follows God throughout his reign. It is unfortunate that the people still lived in disobedience but sometimes there is only so much a leader can do. But both leader and subjects are responsible for themselves and should follow God independent of what the other is doing. But naturally the best case scenario is for everyone to adhere to the ways of God. And we will be blessed and be given success in what we do just like Jotham was.
2 Chronicles 27
2 Chronicles 27
When we walk with God we will be blessed.
Psalm 10; 2 Chronicles 27; Ester 4
Jotham walked with God and tried to be a good leader. The people did not follow but like Pastor said we are responsible for our own actions and decisions. We often see people make bad choices even when given all the tools they need to do otherwise. The snare of sin is real, the devil wants to pull us away. We should never forget that there is a power working against us to draw us into sin and if we aren’t keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus we can and will stumble on those snares!
