let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

Back: Psalms 94

These chapters reminded me the importance of having a heart of worship. More than Sunday morning songs and singing worship music in my car and home but to have a heart that wants to worship in everything I do! That everything we do should bring Him glory, should reflect the thanksgiving we have for all He has done and all He continues to do. When we have a heart of worship we will, like David, worship in the good times and the bad knowing He is always there and no matter our circurmstance He is worthy to be praised!
God is worthy to be praised, so let us come before Him in worship. He is great and glorious and He is our maker. His creation reflects His power, intelligence and love. So we should ascribe to Him the glory due His name and He is worthy of a new song. Let’s not hardened our hearts toward Him but let our hearts be warmed by worship and declare His praises amongst the people.
Who defends me against people who persecute me? Who takes a stand for me? It is surely the Lord who gives me help. He saves me from death. When my foot slips he supports me. When my anxiety is great, he brings me joy. When times are tough, the Lord is my fortress, and my God is the rock in whom I take refuge.
Amen, Shelly!
He is worthy of all glory and honor and praise!
Psalm 9, 95-96; Ester 3
“Come, let’s sing for joy to the Lord, Let’s shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let’s come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving, Let’s shout joyfully to Him in songs with instruments.”
Psalm 95:1-2 NASB2020
At Point Men last night we had the pleasure of giving our testimonies of what God had done in all of our lives to draw us to Himself. Meanwhile the worship team was practicing in the sanctuary and I was worshipping God in my heart along with them.
How great is our God and how marvelous are His deeds, from generation to generation.
Psalms 96&96
Psalms 94-96
Worship the Lord for he is an awesome God! He made the world with all its beauty and splendor, and it is firmly established. He reigns above all things, praise him for his glory, strength, majesty and marvelous deeds! He will judge the world in righteousness and equity, we can know this for sure. Praise the Lord!
“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. “
Psalms 95:6-7 NKJV
“Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; Let the sea roar, and all its fullness; Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the Lord. For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, And the peoples with His truth.”
Psalms 96:11-13 NKJV
I like to meditate about and in creation and consider its worship of God. The Heavens (blue sky, birds flying, singing), clouds floating, forming, light, dark, oceans roaring, waves rushing rhythmically, trees whispering, colors in all….
He is coming…He is coming.
Psalms 95-96
