O God who avenges, shine forth.

pay back to the proud what they deserve.……Continue Reading

Back: Proverbs 17
11 The Lord knows all human plans;
he knows that they are futile.
This verse stuck out to me today as a very Type A personality, often I think I am “helping” God when I don’t go to Him first with an issue. I get into control mode and decide I got this one for Him so He doesn’t have to worry about it and how silly that feels after reading this verse. How He must look at me and shake his head once again and think how foolish I am to think He needs me to take something off His plate. In reality its just another place that I need to fully surrender to His will, His plan, and His purpose for my life,
Unless the Lord had given me help, I would soon have dwelt the silence of death , When anxiety was great within me, your Consolation brought me joy.
How important it is to know that God is a God of justice and He will bring judgment on those who do evil. We too can wonder why God doesn’t bring judgment sooner and seems to allow people to continue in their pride, defiance of Him and the harm they bring to others. But He is the defender of the weak and the righteous. He is our refuge and fortress when people and circumstances come against us. We can trust what He is doing and leave to Him when His correction comes to those who have it coming. Because all of us need discipline and correction. And the same patience He gives to us, He affords to others as well. He knows the right way and the right time for His judgment to come.
Psalms 94
Awesome verse Rick. Can’t help but think this day how a governor signed into law, abortion up to birth. How angry and broken hearted that that would even be mentioned in this once great country. The consolation is God will avenge all the earth sins. Hebrews 4/13. All things are laid bare before the eyes of God and everyone will have to give an account
Psalm 8, 94; Ester 2
Psalms 94
Psalm 94
Psalm 94
Verse 22 But the Lord has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge. 23 he will repay them for their sins and destroy them for their wickedness; the Lord our God will destroy them.
David appeals to God for Justice.
“But judgment will return to righteousness, And all the upright in heart will follow it.”
Psalms 94:15 NKJV
He will set all aright in His time.
