  1. My rest, my rock, my salvation, my hope, and my fortress.
I will trust in You, thirst for You, give all praise to You, I will seek You, and I will remember You.
Such powerful words David gives us to meditate on this morning. These words are what surrender looks like. I pray to surrender ALL to God today and everyday!

  2. David is a great example of his dependency in God as his rock, refuge and salvation. Repeated several times. His trust and praise are through out the 3 chapters. We are constantly bombarded with so much worldly minutia around us, we need to be like David by putting our hope and encouragement always in God…for He too is our rock, refuge and salvation. Because His love is better than life, He deserves to be praised and glorified. Never to be forgotten in this ‘noisy’ world.

  3. David calls out to God for he knows that God is his rock, refuge, and salvation. He knows that even though people attack him that God is always there by his side. This should be true for us as believers as we walk with Jesus. We only need to put our trust in Christ. Sometimes that is the hardest thing to do. We think that we can do better by ourselves but God is the only one that can lead us right. We often can make many bad decisions when not seeking God. This is why every day and moment should be fully surrendered to the Lord. God bless.

  4. How good it is to have God with us and for us! As we set our eyes and our faith on Him, nothing on this earth can shake the confidence we have in Him. And our confidence is well founded and grounded, because our God is able to accomplish whatever He sees fit. And if He accomplishes it, then it is what is best for us and His plan and glory. And nothing else should really matter to us. Now people and circumstances will come against us, and people can be particularly nasty and conniving, but that is when the surety we have in God is most valuable. We can put it all in His hands and look for how He will use the situation for us and how He will use us to glorify Him. All the while protecting and providing for us in it as well. Wow, He is to be praised!!!

  5. We know that God is for us, not against us. He is our refuge, strength, fortress, mighty power so we cannot be shaken. We can rest in him as we navigate through our lives seeking to do what is right through him. We can be assured that our circumstances will work out in such a way that we know in our hearts is his plan. And when we pray and consult with him in all we do, nothing else really matters. What people think, what people say, what people do matters not. Only that we are following Christ – he loves us, he is for us, he is leading us in his way. He is our refuge our fortress, our God in whom we trust.

  6. When I am in trouble, I call out to you. In the dark of night when my fear and worry looms large, I remember that you are my helper. I can rest under the shadow of your wings. I can be vulnerable and cling to you and you will not push me away because of my weakness. Instead, your strong right hand holds me up; I know you will work everything out for my good. When I am assured of that, I am comforted and I fall asleep soundly.
