Psalms 34-35 (NIV)
Of David. When he pretended to be insane before Abimelek, who drove him away, and he left.
1 I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips.
2 I will glory in the Lord;
let the afflicted hear and rejoice.……Continue Reading
Psalms 32-35
”The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.“
Psalms 34:17-19 NKJV
8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
9 Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints!
There is no want to those who fear Him.
10 The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.
Psalm 34 & 35.
Psalm 34 is such a powerful one, which verse couldn’t be repeated or touch our hearts? God is worth great praise and yet how much more powerful that is when we exalt His name together, affirming the faith and trust we have in Him. Because He is so faithful to protect us and take care of us. He has been so good that we can taste it and see it. He also supports what is righteous and He opposes that which is evil, so as Psalm 35 says, we can trust Him for the way He will take care of our enemies. We haven’t seen the worst of what is to come, but I wonder how much Psalm 35 will be a consolation for us to know that those who oppose us, oppose Him as well. And He is more than willing to address the injustice and evil directed towards us, but it is in His time and in His way. May we reflect the ways of Jesus to love our enemies as we also pray to God to take care of them in what would be best for them in submitting to Him and best for Him to bring Him glory!
