Praise the Lord, my soul.

I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.

  1. Psalm 146:5-7 NIV
Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God. [6] He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them—he remains faithful forever. [7] He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free,
God’s pleasure is our dependence on him.

  2. Psalm 146-147 These psalm start out praising the Lord and ends with praising the Lord. We can’t rely on man only on the maker of Heaven and earth and everything in them that he created . God is faithful forever. There are things we don’t understand but he understands us.

  3. 7 Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving;
Sing praises on the harp to our God,
8 Who covers the heavens with clouds,
Who prepares rain for the earth,
Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.
9 He gives to the beast its food,
And to the young ravens that cry.

  4. “Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭146‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Who keeps truth forever” really struck me.

  5. We should always put our trust in the Lord for He will never fail us. While people will at times. The Lord cares about the down trodden. All they need to do is call upon Him. These are the one`s that He takes pleasure in for they fear in Him and hope in His mercy. May our Creator be ever praised.

  6. How worthy God is of our praise and our whole lives as well. It is fruitless to trust in anything instead of Him. He looks out for those who society would disregard and maybe even take advantage of. And yet God is their defender. He brings princes to naught but raises up the humble. He has also created everything and sustains His creation as well. Things that overwhelm us do not overwhelm Him. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised!

  7. Psalm 146
    Whom would you choose?
Hope in man who can not save us, is not always faithful, cannot be fully trusted, when he dies his plans die with him, he returns to the ground and is no more.
    Or
Hope in God who offers us the gift of salvation, is the creator of all things great and small, is faithful forever, can always be trusted, provides for the hungry, sets prisoners free, gives sight to the blind, lifts up the depressed, watches over his people and reigns forever and ever!
    The choice is a no-brainer.

  8. Psalm 147 – All good things come from God. He is pleased not in how we appear from the outside, like physical strength, but with how we handle our relationship with Him – with reverence, respect and hope in his unfailing love.
