1 Praise be to the Lord my Rock,
who trains my hands for war,
my fingers for battle.
2 He is my loving God and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples under me.……Continue Reading

  1. 3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised;
    And His greatness is unsearchable.
4 One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.

  2. Psalm 144 & 145
Our God is gracious, compassionate, righteous, and trustworthy in all his promises he is faithful in all he does. He is there for our daily needs. We need to take the focus off of us and focus on the Lord and praise him in every situation. David is expressing his praise for God, rejoicing in God’s care.

  3. David in Psalm 144 is titled The warrior psalm. For him he is talking about fighting the enemies in physical terms for we know that he lead Israel as king in battles. But his reliance was on the Lord for he refers to God as his goodness, and fortress, and deliverer, and shield, and in whom he trusted, and who subdues his enemies. verse 2. In the same way we may not be warriors like that but we are still soldiers of the cross. We are to put on the whole armor of God for we are fighting a spiritually warfare. [ Ephesians 6; 10-18] I like the way that he concludes this Psalm by saying [ happy is that people whose God is the Lord.] God bless us as we prepare for battle.

  4. This Psalm 145 is one of his praise and description of God`s character and greatness. God`s greatness and how it is unsearchable. verse 3. The Lord is gracious, slow to anger, and great mercy. verse 8. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies over His works. verse 9. His kingdom is forever and He has dominion over all. verse 13. He upholdeth all that fall that are bowed down. verse 14. He gives food to those that look to Him. verse 15. He is righteous in all His ways, and Holy in all His works. verse 17. The Lord is close to them that call upon Him in truth. verse 18. He will fulfil the desires of them that fear Him. verse 19. Also He will save them. He will preserve all those that love Him, but wicked He will destroy. verse 20. This the God that loves us even though we are nothing but a shadow that passes away. Psalm 144;4b. But in His eyes He sees us as a father who would do anything for His children even dying for them which is what He did. This is our Father the Creator of Heaven and earth and all creation. Think about that. May we see ourselves as God sees us and delight in Him.

  5. We can see Satan’s goals in play, trying to change history and remove the true stories (good and bad) so that people don’t hear and believe. I’m reading a book about how Islam thinks the end times will go down – it’s enlightening. All the more reason to KNOW God’s word!

“One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭145‬

Reinforces why we continue communion and baptism and evangelism!

  6. How great is our God who stands with us in battle to help us defeat our foes and has done mighty deeds that all can recognize. He is our refuge, fortress and deliverer, and when He settles matters, we can rest in His provisions and praise Him for the blessings His victories bring. Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord and who have His hand upon them! And yet He is also full of compassion and gracious and rich in love. I love the picture of one generation telling the next of the greatness of God and the value that is found in following Him. He is near to all who call on Him and those who trust Him will find Him faithful. May the praise of His name be on our lips always!

  7. Psalm 145 – When we meditate on God’s wonderful works, we can’t help but wonder at the amazing complexity of it all. From the enormity of the universe to its miniscule components that continue to be uncovered by science. And the God that made it all extends his hands to us in compassion, love, grace and mercy. He is near to all who call on him, he hears our cry and saves us, and he watches over all who love him. All who believe in him are truly blessed.
