Psalms 119:57-120 (NIV)
ח Heth
57 You are my portion, Lord;
I have promised to obey your words.
58 I have sought your face with all my heart;
be gracious to me according to your promise.
59 I have considered my ways
and have turned my steps to your statutes…....Continue Reading
Comforting passage to me. Encourages me to depend on God…
So many powerful verses in Psalm 119. Psalm 119:64, Psalm 119:72, Psalm 119:89, Psalm 119:93, Psalm 119:105 and Psalm 119:114 jumped out at me. The word of God is truly priceless and we are wise to meditate on it.
The blessings we have in God are abundant.
Such encouragement in what we read in these passages and support of why we do this Bible reading each day. During the good times and the bad, during times of joy and times of sadness, God’s word is there as a strength and support for us!
Psalms 119:57-120
Psalms 119
There are so many wonderful scriptures in Psalm. Just as Psalm 119;105 [ Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.] Or Psalm 119;163 [ I hate and abhor lying; but thy law do I love.] Or this one that the Lord showed me tonight. Psalm 119;162 [ I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.] God bless to all who love the Lord.
Knowing God’s word makes you smarter:
“Oh, how I love Your law!
It is my meditation all the day.
You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies;
For they are ever with me.
I have more understanding than all my teachers,
For Your testimonies are my meditation.
I understand more than the ancients,
Because I keep Your precepts.
I have restrained my feet from every evil way,
That I may keep Your word.
I have not departed from Your judgments,
For You Yourself have taught me.
How sweet are Your words to my taste,
Sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Through Your precepts I get understanding;
Therefore I hate every false way.”
