Israel his dominion.

Psalm. 112. Great psalm. Many blessings for us prosperity. Security. Freedom from fear. Generosity brings msny blessings Verse 7. No fear no matter what circumstances. Heart is steadfast trusting in the Lord. Longing of the wicked. Nothing!!
It seems the whole creation has the proper reverence and fear of God except mankind. The mountains shiver and quake and mankind makes idols that cannot see, hear or anything. The astonishing thing is that He loves us anyway. Praise the Lord now and forever.
How awesome was God’s work bringing the people of Israel out of Egypt and into the promised land. Different parts of creation saw it and are personified here as being amazed. God did a great work for and through His people. And God is the One who deserves all the glory in all things but especially in the things He showed the Jews. How absolutely foolish to follow an idol who have all the parts that point to some kind of ability and yet they can’t do anything that their parts allude to. How foolish to worship something that needs you to build it. The Jews and all humankind are wise to trust in God: to follow His standards and then see how much He blesses when we do. May we always praise Him in the way that He deserves.
So true what Steve said that all of God’s creations seem to have to proper reverence for their creator except us. We get so caught up in the gold and the silver and the makings of our own hands and forget where we and everything truly come from.
We are very selfish and prideful and must constantly be aware of that to avoid common pitfalls of this thinking but rather be humble remembering we are the creation not the creator.
Steve and I finished reading Nehemiah yesterday morning. Then I went for a walk and decided to listen to some Psalms. I guessed we were in about Psalm 110, so I listened to Psalms 110-126 on my phone while walking. Psalm 119 was 15 minutes long! I think I might try to do this all the time. I don’t retain as much if I am not looking at the words, but maybe this will help me to be to listen and remember better.

Psalm 114,115
The Lord who made all things can do all things. He who is all powerful, all knowing and all loving is to be revered, honored, and respected to the highest degree.
It makes no sense to put our hope in objects that have no power to act on their own. It is God only who blesses, loves, forgives, cares, restores, and saves us. He is what really matters in this life and the next. It is wise to put our time and effort into establishing a relationship with him.
