Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
who find great delight in his commands.
2 Their children will be mighty in the land;
the generation of the upright will be blessed.

and their righteousness endures forever.…..Continue Reading

  1. 7 They will have no fear of bad news;
    their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
    8 Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear;
    in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.
    There is no fear in this life when we are secure in what’s eternal. When we live a life pleasing to God our blessings will come from Him. This life on earth still may be difficult but we know we have God on our side. So we should praise Him from the rising of the sun to the setting…He is with us!

  2. The people who fear the Lord and delight in His commandments will be blessed. It reads in verse 7 that the person who delights in Him shall not be afraid of evil tidings because his heart is fixed on the Lord and trusting in Him. He is confident that the says He will do. This person is to be light in the darkness, to be gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. So no matter what the circumstances we are to keep our eyes upon the Lord. Proverbs 3;5,6 [ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.] In Psalm 113 it is praise to God of all His Majesty , glory, and power. There is no one like Him. He can turn the hearts and minds however He likes for His own purpose. May we pray accordingly.

  3. 3From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
    the name of the Lord is to be praised.
    4The Lord is exalted over all the nations,
    his glory above the heavens.
    5Who is like the Lord our God,
    the One who sits enthroned on high,
    6who stoops down to look
    on the heavens and the earth?

  4. How blessed we are to put God in His proper place and follow His ways and trust Him with every facet of our lives. How much that guides our steps and allows others to benefit from our good choices. How that comforts and secures our mind so we don’t have to be afraid because we are trusting God. How giving and generous that makes us as well as we learn not to hold on to possessions too closely. And the more completely we follow God, the more completely He is able to bless us. And when God has made so many good things on the inside and the outside of us, it is only fitting to praise Him: completely and consistently. He has displayed His greatness in creation as well as how He has orchestrated events throughout time. We may not always understand His ways, but He has shown Himself worthy of our trust and our worship.

  5. The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.
    He will not be afraid of evil tidings;
    His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
    His heart is established;
    He will not be afraid,
    Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.

    There are “evil tidings” everywhere, hoping to control us by fear.
    Lord, establish our hearts and minds on you.

  6. The righteous will never be moved.
    For him, light dawns in the darkness.
    He does not worry about the future.
    He is determined to trust in the Lord.

    Our God is full of glory and power.
    He is seated on high above the heavens.
    He does great things for the poor, the needy and the barren woman.
    He is to be praised always and forever!
