Praise God for saving us from the foe!

  2. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. The Psalmist goes on and states many of the ways that God is always good and merciful to the people. Whenever they call upon Him; He is always merciful to help them. When they go their own way they keep having problems of which many of the problems they brought upon themselves. Not that walking with Him would be free of problems but He is there to guide and help us. Yes God will redeem us in physical ways which is brought up in this chapter but also Spiritually for He cares more for our spirit and our soul. What shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world but loses his own soul/ Beware of Satan for he doesn`t want anyone to get saved or even hear the good news. Even after someone comes to Jesus he will do anything he can to prevent them from growing in the Lord. In many cases he won`t even stop there. Sometimes he will attack believers that are very active in the church and serving Jesus. We must constantly be aware of his attacks and give it to the Lord. It seems that the more active you are the more he attacks. Often many different ways at the same time. We must let Jesus carry us through any hard times. He knows all and is ever present in our lives. In the last verse 43, it reads [ Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the loving kindness of the Lord.] We only get true wisdom from the Lord. I am reminded of a hymn. [ I Am Thine, O Lord] In the chorus it says Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord, to the cross where Thou hast died;…………. God bless everyone.

  3. Our God is worthy of thanks and praise for he is merciful and his love is steadfast throughout all generations. When we turn away from him, he allows us to suffer from the consequences of our actions. When we turn back to him and call out to him in our distress, he delivers us out of darkness, breaks our chains and lifts us out of our affliction. Praise the Lord!

  4. There is a pattern in this Psalm of people falling away and God always bringing them back and blessing them. Because God satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. God never gives us reason to stray from Him and He never condones that, but He is always gracious and merciful to take us back and start off where we left off. He is also sure to create the calamity that brings us back as well, as a way to show that He is never happy with our disobedience even though He is forgiving of it. He is to be praised and thanked for His goodness and His grace and the great mercy that He provides us. Truly where would we be if He wasn’t the God that He is!
