Psalm 100 (ESV)
His Steadfast Love Endures Forever
A Psalm for giving thanks.

1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
3 Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;

we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture...........Continue Reading

  1. I’ve started logging in to this site after I finish watching the news each night. It’s nice to be able to take a breath and put everything into perspective again. This one was particularly beautiful.

    1. Welcome Elizabeth! As we leave the Psalms now and turn back to Ezekiel, please feel free to post questions here as well. I would also suggest watching the video posted under Dan Lee’s comment on Ezekiel 4 for a great summarization of the book of Ezekiel. Sometimes the Old Testament prophets are hard to understand and we need to remember their message comes after centuries of God calling out to His people and His people turning their nose up at Him and following foreign gods.

  2. Serve the Lord with gladness. Our service to God should come with gladness that he desires us to serve him.
    Also, note that our songs of joy are service to him as well.

  3. I have been reading along, but unable to post without the Password….recently I have been reminded, OFTEN, that the Lord is good. His love is unfailing and His faithfulness continues forever. When I am tempted to believe otherwise it is because I am disbelieving God’s goodness to me! I praise Him for His Goodness, Faithfulness and His Love to ME!

  4. What a compact Psalm of praise. I am thinking about shouting for joy to the Lord. I wonder if David intended it to be taken literally or as just a way to describe the exuberance with which we should express our praise to the Lord and how widely His praise should be known. It is all the earth that should recognize His glory. We can worship Him with gladness because He makes us glad! It’s amazing that He even allows us to enter His gates, but as we do it is fitting to enter them with thanksgiving. How wonderful it is that His faithfulness continues through ALL generations!

  5. AMEN!
    1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
    2 Serve the Lord with gladness!
    Come into his presence with singing!
    3 Know that the Lord, he is God!
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
    we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
    4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
    and his courts with praise!
    Give thanks to him; bless his name!
    5 For the Lord is good;
    his steadfast love endures forever,
    and his faithfulness to all generations.
