How important our words are, and how they affect ourselves and others. We should avoid too many of them and be honest, wise, and not gossip or be too quick to argue. Righteousness should be what guides our lives and God should guide our steps and we will receive the benefits that come from them as well as others around us.

Proverbs 20
Who can say, “I have kept my heart pure;
I am clean and without sin”?
The reality is that we are all sinners, only Jesus was able to walk the earth free from sin. When I think how easily it is to get caught up in “respectable sins” of this world most of them involve words, What we say, what we don’t say, and who we are listening to that is NOT God! There is no wonder there are so many warnings throughout Proverbs about how we conduct our words.

People who talk incessantly are usually talking either about themselves or other people. It’s best to not to share personal information. The Lord understands the sacrifices parents make for their children. He will not tolerate children who detest and swear against them. And paying people back for the wrongs they do to us is not what the Lord would have us do. He will repay in his good timing; we are to focus on serving him and others.
