  1. What comes out of of mouth matters to God. I always tell my kids to count to ten before you speak to someone you are angry or frustrated with because when we spew from an emotional place we usually regret what comes out. This chapter was a reminder to me that we need to stop and think on God before we speak, remembering that we are ambassadors of Christ and people are listening.
We must expect and even encourage correction in our moments of weakness and sin. We can not learn if we are not taught and discipline is part of that learning process.

  2. Proverbs 15. As my Little League umpire would say every game ” On the hop boys, you never know who is looking” This translates to do your best at all times. We all know what is expected of us all in Gods economy. Things are black or white, not many grey areas. We act the way God wants us all to be, when we have the spirit of God living within us. If we live our lives according to Gods expectations, we have nothing to fear! Unlike the umpire, we all know God is looking!!! And lets all remember to stay on the hop with our Lord Jesus Christ. AMEN

  3. There are great benefits that come from a right heart, right actions and right speech. We ourselves are better off as well as those around us. Add to that hard work and the fear of the Lord, and we’ve got it made. We will even be able to take hard situations and hard people and turn them around.
