  1. Leprosy was no joke and sounds like an awful disease. Similar to sin, leprosy starts small and just spreads bringing about only death. The priests job included checking for leprosy and other diseases like public health officials. They would try to contain them and not allow spread to other people because also very much like sin, those around people with leporsy could easily catch it. In these times people with leprosy were sent away and treated pretty much like they were already dead and yet Jesus never did that, Jesus often walked amonst these people and healed them. Again, just like sin Jesus is the only cure for leprosy and the only way to make us clean.

  2. Reading this. Reminds of Covid. We not only survived but we flourished. All thanks to our father in heaven who watches over as our focus stays on him. Imagine back then. Joe Douglas would be checking for any rashes. I’m good Joe!

  3. As God is structuring Israelite society, public health is and should be something to be addressed. How important for the individual and the community that things like that are taken care of and rules are structured to make sure everyone is on the same page. And with the dangers of mildew recognized even in our modern day, how important regulations are for that as well. How practical God is as well as spiritual and powerful!
