Read Sections 4.78 through 4.79 (pages 131-133)

Jesus talking of himself. Leaving this world and what he will find when he returns. Are we living for ourselves or for the better of Gods kingdom on earth. Those that just don’t believe or care. And those that hate God.
Bothers me where their eternity will be. If they only knew. Well we are Gods ambassadors on earth We have worked to do. I can see why Lazarus would be a threat to the Pharisees a powerful testimony of the power of Jesus. And a picture of Jesus resurrecting. Just can’t understand how they could dismiss. This guy was dead 4 days and now alive.

We are responsible to take what God has given us and use it to bear fruit for Him and expand His kingdom. And although Jesus is a loving Savior, He will bring judgment on those who reject Him. And what a powerful witness to the truth of who Jesus is that Lazarus is raised. And rather than the Jewish leaders being convinced by what was done, they seek to eliminate it. Very sad.
God gives us all we have and that is not just our resources but also gifts and talents. We should be using all of those things to bring him glory. If we have a something we are good at from cleaning to preaching God can use us and in His Kingdom everyone has work to do. Like a body needs all its parts so the church needs everyone to serve to help advance His kingdom!
Lent 2026 – Day 3
Day 3 advent 4.78-4.79
We must use our faith and gifts God has given us to bring people to Christ. We are not to hide it but multiply many times people that are sent our way and lead them to Christ. We are to be a light in this world and others will come to get the peace that is theirs once saved.
Plans were set in motion to arrest Jesus and Lazarus.
