  1. How quickly Jesus made it evident to His followers that He was alive! I have always been intrigued about just what Jesus shared from the Old Testament that spoke about Him. It is also amazing that Jesus shows up out of nowhere, in the middle of the room, and yet is still corporeal and can be touched and He even eats. He is no ghost! And how brash Thomas is to say what he needs to see and touch of Jesus in order for him to believe, and yet once confronted by HIs presence, he just says my Lord and my God. And how special Jesus and Peter’s relationship was. Peter must have wondered how his betrayal affected it, and yet his enthusiasm in seeing Jesus is touching. And Jesus always knows how to best put things back in the right place….

  2. These two disciples are walking back to Emmaus. They missed the greatest event in the history of mankind. They were too focused on their own disappointments walking in the wrong direction, leaving Jerusalem, walking 7 miles home, away from the greatest miracle of all time. But don’t we do the same thing focused on our own problems? After they explained their sadness and confusion to Jesus, Jesus uses scripture to prove His existence and purpose. What we should do to get clarification and also to help each other understand the scriptures to have the correct focus and go in the right direction. Weren’t our hearts burning inside us as he opened up the scriptures to us.!!! Our hearts and soul burns inside us as we read daily They were exhausted walking home 3 days after the crucifixion. Says they immediately got up and ran back to Jerusalem. New life after meeting risen Jesus.!! . Peter’s Been fishing all night. Nothing. I know that feeling plenty. I’ve prayed throw my nets on the other side Still nothing. But my father in heaven has met everyone of my needs and then so much more. The riches we have in Jesus Christ!!!

  3. If ever the disciples were amazed at the things they witnessed Jesus do while they walked with Him, now He just keeps appearing in the middle of rooms with locked doors as a man just like them. A man they could see, hear, annd touch! He asks for food annd seemingly picks up where they left off. He spends no time speaking about what just happened or their reactions and responnses to it, just eats and talks with them like normal. Thomas has a reaction that I suppose many people might have, his faith is not strong enough to believe without proof, without being able to see and touch. That is the lesson for us, faith comes from believing what we cannot see, what we know to be there because we experience the Holy Spirit in our lives, we hear His truth and it stirs something in our soul and we believe!

  4. The followers Jesus showed himself to, saw the physical proof of who He really was in his hands, feet and side. It’s a breathtaking thought to wonder what they experienced having seen with their own eyes the risen Christ. Someday we too will have that opportunity and until that time comes we must rely on our faith knowing that yes! we will eventually have our turn. Easter is truly an event to be celebrated.

  5. “Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭20‬:‭29‬-‭31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
