  1. The beauty and ornate nature of the priest’s garments certainly follow suit with the rest of God’s instruction for the ark, tabernacle, and court. God was truly creating a small piece of heaven on earth!

  2. Aaron would certainly be a sight to see dressed in these garments and God says they are intended to give him dignity and honor. I love the fact that the 12 tribes are represented in two of the elements of the garment reenforcing that Aaron ultimately represents all of Israel before God. It also struck me that many of the jewels that were to be on the breastpiece, are the jewels that will adorn the New Jerusalem as well. How beautiful and ornate these garments were showing once again that God enjoys such things and wants these things to reflect who He is as well. And lastly, to see that the sign on Aaron’s turban would say Holy to the Lord.. He like as are set apart for a purpose. May we all seek passionately to find what that purpose is.

  3. We so often overlook beauty. Aaron’s garments were made “for glory and for beauty”.
Judging from this scripture, beauty is important to God. Artistic skill and expression are gifted and enlisted by God.

……gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom
    …..skillfully woven tunic
    ……..artistically worked
    ………intricately woven
    …….fine woven linen
    ………an engraver in stone

  4. 29“Whenever Aaron enters the Holy Place, he will bear the names of the sons of Israel over his heart on the breastpiece of decision as a continuing memorial before the Lord. 30Also put the Urim and the Thummim in the breastpiece, so they may be over Aaron’s heart whenever he enters the presence of the Lord. Thus Aaron will always bear the means of making decisions for the Israelites over his heart before the Lord.
