The Proverbs contain so much wisdom useful for life…some more than others. It is sad but true that people are drawn to the rich and powerful and often avoid the poor. But better to be poor than be a liar and false witnesses will not go unpunished. And yet when we are generous to the poor it is like lending to the Lord because He is the One who has their back. And we can make our plans, but it is the Lord’s will that prevails, so we are best to understand what He desires most, seek His wisdom and follow His ways.

We will miss the mark if we are hasty with our decisions. Gather knowledge, have patience and inquire of the Lord before moving forward. God’s way will always prevail so it is wise to keep in step with him.
