David and the Israelite army continue to have success especially against one of their most troublesome adversary, the Philistines. It is interesting that a relative of Goliath is mentioned. It is nice to have God’s favor on them and on us when we put ourselves in His hands.

More victories for David and the Isrealites but interesting to remember that while Davis stayed in Jerusalem and Joab went to war this was actually the time where David made one of his big mistakes with a woman, perhaps it would have been better if he went to battle from the start.
