Once the ark of God was put inside the tent that David made, bringing offerings and fellowship before God, then David blessed the people in the name of the Lord. We are doing what they were encouraged to do still today. We are to tithe, bring food and have fellowship! They were to make music as we also do today.. We are to praise the Lord and sing to Him. Proclaim what He has done to everyone. I love that when we seek the Lord we are to rejoice. It’s the same to look to the Lord for our strength “seek his face always”. The chosen ones. . He told Jacob I give Canaan as his portion. They went everywhere with God’s protection and no one was to bring harm to them.
His love endures for ever. It said also cry out save us! Give thanks to the Lord!
How fitting that there would be people designated to give praise to the Lord and play music to honor Him and that their names would be given here. How essential worship is to allow us to reflect on God’s glory and thereby be transformed by it. (2 Corinthians 3:17-18). Our God is great and glorious, just and righteous and He has displayed His works all around us to show us what kind of God He is. We should worship Him in the splendor of His holiness and ascribe to Him the glory due His name. May we also tell the nations all that He is and has done!

A great time of worship!
Worship is certainly more than music and song, it is how we live our lives and bring glory to God in everything we do. However, music and song is powerful and God loves to hear it. It is not about how good our playing is or how well we can sing, but our heart pouring out to Him. This must have been such a time of worship to be a part of, and I love that David saw the importance of this time and his words that day are words we still sing together even today…”Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; His love endures forever.”
