  1. Paul closes this letter to the Corinthians with many personal notes about his plans and others as well as certain individuals that should be recognized and regarded for their service to him and by extension, the Lord. He also gives instructions on giving which shows a wise pattern for us all to follow. The needs of those less fortunate should be something we should all consider and be generous towards. And we should never tire from hearing encouragement to be strong and courageous and to stand firm in the faith. There are many things coming against us and we need to be on our guard and garner our will to make right choices consistent with God’s ways and His call on our lives.

  2. Be strong and courageous and do everything in love. They seem contray at first glance, strong and courageous gives a picture of a fighter in battle and do everything in love gives a picture of a caregiver. However, we are one in the same are’t we. We are very much in a daily battle against Satan and sin, our own sin and the sin that surrounds us. We are also called to love others and protect them and bring them to the saving knowledge of Christ. We are indeed two sides to the same coin living a life through Christ’s example that we need to stand firm in what we believe while always showing the love of God in everything we do.

  3. ”Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.“
    ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭16‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

  4. We are not expected to shrink back and take all the abuse that the world hands out to us. As Christians, we are instructed to be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. Be brave and find strength in the Lord. And although it may be our natural tendency to lash out and strike, we are not advised to do so. Instead, do everything with love. That requires a strong committment to our faith and relationship with God. Let us strive to do so, so we can live our lives with integrity.
