So reading this book got me thinking about some of the songs that are popular today many of which discuss the same content with a major exception…mutual respect and adoration!
When God is involved, love, marriage, and sex is a special, intimate thing between a man and a woman that should bring both pleasure and deeper intimacy. Love and sex are not to be tossed around lightly and shared with just anyone, but rather a God ordained relationship that is meant to deepen the bond between two people. We have definitely got this concept wrong in this world both in in and out marriages and our songs!
Good points, Kelly. So true that the world misses God’s intent for marriage and sex and relationships. It is good to see, though that the HS is still working in the world, in such a way that you still see some who “get it” with committed marriages and sacrificial relationships.
