The Beast out of the Sea
1 The dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. 2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. We all struggle with the integrity and motivation of political and world leaders but imagine one that speaks directly for Satan himself. This beast or the antichrist will have much power and influence but will be a blasphemer and we should recognize that as his words will oppose the things of God that we know to be the truth.
The second beast will support the first like his own prophet and add to the confusion and spread of evil. Even the economic system will be based in your allegiance to this antichrist by taking the mark. Scary times for sure but it is why it is so important to stand firm on the truth of God, spread His gospel so others may be protected from this evil because most days it does not feel too far away!
Well said Kelly! I agree. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:13. Scriptures warn of deception, and if it comes from within the church, how devastating it will be! Not surprisingly, the world will accept the beast and his image, the false prophet. Chapter 13, of all, depicts the success of Satan’s plans. In a society that is so visually oriented, the miracles will sway the people easily. It contrasts with Chapter 12, and we will see the outcome in chapter 19.
Whatever you do, do no let anyone put a mark in your forehead or hand. There is room for only one mark, Satan’s or God’s. Peace!
This first beast with seven heads and ten horns and ten crowns on the horns is the Anti-Christ. His description is a little confusing but it must be figurative for we know that the Anti-Christ is a human being so these must be how he behaves. Like a leopard, feet like a bear, and mouth like a lion.[ power]. Maybe quick as a leopard and strong as a bear in pursuit. The dragon gives him the power, the seat, and great authority. The dragon is Satan. The unbelievers worship the dragon. This power was to last for 42 months. The Anti-Christ is to speak blasphemy against God and make war on the saints and to overcome them. The unsaved will take the mark of the beast which is 666 or his name. There is a second beast and it would seem that he is the prophet of the Anti-Christ. This prophet also will do miracles to deceive the people. Will also cause the image of the Anti-Christ to come alive and be worshipped. To kill all those who won`t worship it. I wonder if the Anti-Christ is alive in our world right now. Of there have been many little anti-christs through the centuries, such as Hitler. Even some preachers today think they know who these two beasts are. But the church for years have been wrong. But it does seem that more events and things have fallen into place more than ever before. With all the evil happening in the United States and the whole world I often pray, come quickly Lord Jesus.

Ok. I have a migraine! Reading revelations every night. My eyes are crossing. I read the last chapter GOD WINS.
Revelations 13
Like satan, the antichrist will be like an angel of light, but evil to his core. He will deceive many through his words, his miraculous power and recovering from a sword wound which should have lead to his death but it doesn’t. People certainly are drawn to miracles and will follow power and abilities that they can observe, so they will follow the beast hook, line and sinker. What pride is expressed in them lauding the beast and being assured that no one can war against him. Imagine the deception of saying that after all that God has done up to this point. And he won’t be the only one promoting his cause, another being with miraculous power will aid in the deception and people will finally be able to believe in something supernatural that isn’t God. Humankind has always sought that….give me anything spiritual, other-worldly or fanciful that is not God….and people will be drawn to that. Certainly satan loves to encourage that as well. So here we have the unholy trinity….satan, the antichrist and the false prophet controlling all dynamics of society and blaspheming God every chance they get.
And yet what confidence in God believers are called to….if you flee, you flee, if you are martyred, then you are martyred. God can be trusted in and through it all. Now I do believe believers here are those who have been saved during the tribulation. And who is more apt to believe in the tribulation? Isn’t it those who were made aware of the truth on this side of the tribulation? We certainly have our work cut out for us, don’t we?
Because people were in awe of the power of the dragon and the beast, they worshiped them. And they thought they supported an unconquerable force because the beast did not die from a fatal wound. The first beast also had an “assistant” help him control the people and force them to worship an image that had the power to kill and to take the mark that would allow them to purchase and/or sell things. This will be a terrible time for believers, and they will need to be extremely patient, courageous, and persistent in their faithfulness to the Lord.
The one world government, a conglomeration of powerful nations referenced in Daniel comes about under one blasphemous leader, the Anti-Christ.
A great spiritual leader leads the people of the earth to worship the blasphemous leader by performing miracles and deceiving many.
