Lord Almighty!

  1. How blessed we are to know God and recognize that He deserves to be praised and that we become better when we praise and worship Him. How good it is to be able to go to a place where that truth is reenforced, to be around people that see the same value in Him. And how are lives are changed by that. We don’t need circumstances to be good for us to be good. In fact we will be the kind of people that can take lemons and make them into lemonade. Nothing compares to our God and we do well to seek and even yearn for Him! And even when we fail and falter before this great God, there is always a path of restoration, forgiveness, rebuilding and eventual blessing. He forgives us completely and then sets our path on a road where His favor exists.

  2. verse 10 stuck out to me , better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of the wicked. Because we’ve all been elsewhere, or apart from God, not knowing the richness of God’s word . but now to know God, and to be around the people of God, we would never want to go back.

  3. “Love and faithfulness meet together;
    righteousness and peace kiss each other.”
    In the NKJV this reads mercy and truth, righteousness and peace and it struck me how much in our earthly minds that those two pairs of things don’t go together. Mercy is pardoning while truth is used to condem, righteousness seems restrictive while peace seems so free. The perfect picture of God not providing us with what is deserved but rather lavishing on us what is so undeserved! This is why we long for Him, this is why one day with Him in His house is better than thousands elsewhere
