For the director of music. According to gittith Of Asaph.
1 Sing for joy to God our strength;
shout aloud to the God of Jacob!
2 Begin the music, strike the timbrel,
play the melodious harp and lyre.
3 Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon,
and when the moon is full, on the day of our festival;
4 this is a decree for Israel,
an ordinance of the God of Jacob............Continue Reading

  1. There is only one true God….creator of everything. We should put no creation before Him. He will defend us in all things when we put our trust in the Lord!

  2. How worthy our God is of joyous and exalting praise! How gladden our hearts should be by His greatness, glory and care for us! And yet how stubborn and independent we can be in defying Him much like the people of Israel did. We are wise to turn to Him in trust and obedience (the greatest expression of trust actually) and then see the ways that He provides for us and protects us. As we join Him in His work and the priorities He sets for our lives, we will find Him faithful to guide, provide and promote the work that we are doing and make it even more effective, especially when we are caring for those who are vulnerable and correcting injustice in the world. God will also deal harshly with those who don’t.

  3. To think for them to dwell in the house of the lord. They had to go to temple. Now. WE ARE THE HOUSE OF THE LORD. HE DWELLS IN US!!!!!! He is with us 24/7. If that doesn’t make you want to shout. Hallelujah!!

  4. “Rise up, O God, judge the earth,
    for all the nations are your inheritance.”

    A repeated “theme” in my reading lately is inheritance.
    We have an inheritance.
    We are an inheritance. The Nations, all nations are Christ’s inheritance.
    All will be gathered to Christ in the fullness of times.
    Not just humans, but all things in heaven and on earth.

  5. Sing for joy to God our strength.
    I removed their burdens from their shoulders. He answered Them out of a thundercloud! They know nothing and walk around in darkness. We do the same things today and need to remember in Gods word are all the answers.

  6. The gods people worship know nothing and can do nothing. Such as the god of money, prestige, status, spirituality (that is not connected to the gospel of Jesus), etc. God says you shall have no foreign god among you; you shall not worship any god other than me. Our God is the God who removes our burdens, sets us free and promises the gift of salvation through grace. It is wise to believe and trust in the God of Jacob!

  7. The Lords heart clearly aches for his children, Israel, to follow him. So sad they cannot see all he’s done for them miraculously.
