Psalms 64-65 (NIV)

For the director of music. A psalm of David.
1 Hear me, my God, as I voice my complaint;
protect my life from the threat of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked,
from the plots of evildoers.
3 They sharpen their tongues like swords
and aim cruel words like deadly arrows.
4 They shoot from ambush at the innocent;

  1. There’s nothing like handing your enemies over to God and let Him handle them, and allow prayer to be the place where you express your thoughts and desires towards them so vengeance can be His and not ours. We are to love our enemies but God knows who will be transformed by that love and those He needs to make war against. God also can more than compensate for the harm done to us by enemies. He is good and provides abundantly for us and He is to be praised for that. He is the great creator and Savior, who forgives and supplies for their earth. We are wise to align ourselves with Him and have our lives reflect His blessing as we follow Him faithfully.

    1. You call forth songs of joy. When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our transgressions! And still we give repeat performances. We repent again and again. Not everything but the spontaneous things where there is not time to reflect and hand over to God.

  2. Psalm 64 made me chuckle when I think of what will befall our enemies by their own devises.
    Psalm 65 shows the expanse of God. I saw everyone coming to God. “O You who hear prayer,
    To You all flesh will come.” and the expanse of the earth that has confidence in Him.
    “By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us,
    O God of our salvation,
    You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth,….”
    …Who established the mountains by His strength,
    Being clothed with power;……They also who dwell in the farthest parts are afraid of Your signs.”

  3. Psalms 64 & 65
    Our God answers prayer

    2You who answer prayer,
    to you all people will come.

    5You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds,
    God our Savior,
