  1. The Lord is my Rock and my Refuge, his way is perfect his word is flawless and we can take comfort that we can rest in him he gives us strength, he shields all who takes refuge in him!

  2. What a wonderful prayer of thanks for what God does for David. So often our prayers can be dominated by our needs and the needs of others, but above these things are the worship of God’s glory. The recognition of who He is and what He does for us. Every breath we take is a gift from our Lord; this should be in the front of our minds always.

  3. What a great Psalm displaying the power and provision of God to be a refuge and help to His people and being there for them as enemies press in around. When we are in trouble, the best thing we can do is to cry out to God independent of how bad our lives are. God always has the resources to overpower the situation we find ourselves in, And we can be far more confident of God working on our behalf when we ourselves are doing what is right. And when we do, we will find God to be all the things that He is. Perfect in His standards and powerful in His strength. And the fact that He shares Himself and His resources with us is amazing and helps us reach places we could never reach without Him. For all this, He is to be praised!

  4. 9The fear of the Lord is pure,
    enduring forever.
    The decrees of the Lord are firm,
    and all of them are righteous.
    10They are more precious than gold,
    than much pure gold;
    they are sweeter than honey,
    than honey from the honeycomb.
    11By them your servant is warned;
    in keeping them there is great reward.
    12But who can discern their own errors?
    Forgive my hidden faults.
    13Keep your servant also from willful sins;
    may they not rule over me.
    Then I will be blameless,
    innocent of great transgression.
