  1. What priority worship should have in our lives. It is fitting to extol (praise enthusiastically) our great God forever and do it every day. Wouldn’t it be great if His praise was always on our lips so that one generation passes the worship of God to the next generation. Our hearts are changed and our faith is strengthened through worship. It is important for us to reminded of our God’s great works and the care and compassion He has for people. How different life would be if God was not gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love? Consider all that He has orchestrated in the world to take care of us. The sun shines. The rain falls. Seeds reproduce, bear fruit and then produce more seeds. How much is that an expression of God providing food for people and the connection to that in an agrarian society like Israel is far more prevalent than in our day. And in addition to all of this, God is near to all who call on Him. No wonder we should be drawn to Him, to trust Him and praise Him enthusiastically all the time.

  2. 8The Lord is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9The Lord is good to all,
and his mercy is over all that he has made.
