  1. What a blessing to have God in our lives, to know that He hears us when we call. How necessary it is for us to have Him as a restraint on every aspect of our lives, especially our tongues! So much around us encourages us to have evil desires, may we heed the word and Spirit of God that guards us against such things and leads to purity and truth. And what a blessing to have people in our lives that call us out. May we always be open to the correction and counsel that comes from others. And even as we may pray for God to deal with evil people in our lives that are coming against us, may our focus remain on God. He is our refuge and we can trust Him to deal with others in a way that is best for them and us.

  2. We recognize our own sinful nature, our flesh.
    We ask for accountability and conviction from God.
    We pray that he keeps us from temptation and sin.
    We welcome accountability from the righteous. A good slap across the face. We know we deserve it.
    We take refuge in God, for our bodily and spiritual safety.
    We pray the wicked fall into their own trap.

  3. 3 Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth;
    keep watch over the door of my lips!
    4 Do not let my heart incline to any evil,
    to busy myself with wicked deeds
    in company with men who work iniquity,
    and let me not eat of their delicacies!
