Proverbs 7 (NIV)
Warning Against the Adulterous Woman
1 My son, keep my words
and store up my commands within you.

God’s intent for sex was an intimate and pleasurable thing for married people. This chapter warns against a woman using sex in a wrong way but both men and women can be guilty of this. Men can be weak when it comes to the temptation and women know that and can use it to their advantage.
However, more commonly in the world today we see a third party pulling the strings of how sex is used in our lives leading to so much hurt and pain. Companies using sex to sell something or advance a goal. Rampant sex in tv, movies, music and seldom in a moral way but more often in a “feels good, do it” mentality. We are an oversexualized society that is leading to confusion in our children who don’t understand true intimacy, people lead by lust using sex to abuse others, and a complete breakdown of marriage and monogamy. Satan loves every second of it and we must resist and teach our children God’s true intention for sex and purity.
Keep my commands and you shall live. Beware of women who are trying to lure you into sin. Guard the Lord’s teachings, write them on your heart!. Let wisdom be your closest friend to keep you from falling into traps of loose women. God is very explicit that wisdom will keep you from taking the highway to hell.
“in the black and dark night…”
Jesus said, “men loved darkness, rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” John 3.
My takeaway is evil, including my evil, will thrive in darkness, under the veil of night, where prying eyes cannot see what I do, or at day, when alone, lest I be held accountable. Not unlike the false idea that God cannot see what is done. I have learned my vulnerabilities and understand that God is not the “thought police,” but the heart healer, the Master of transplanting the diseased for the healthy.
Darkness is everywhere, at every time, all around us, Proverbs 7 warns that we must flee this, and every type of sin, by staying in God’s Word.

Proverbs 7
We all need to be aware of the allure of inappropriate sexual expression and those who would seek to trip us up. In a world that has lost it’s morays and has no regard for the boundaries that God has set for our protection, many potentially could welcome us to join them in the wrong that they participate in. God has given His standards in His word and we must hold fast to them so as to avoid the snares of deception, whatever its source. Being in those words on a consistent basis and reenforcing them in our hearts is what we can do to strengthen our resolve and maintain the purity that God calls and empowers us to.
Proverbs 7
God wants us to get into the word so we will have fellowship with Him and to teach us in all His ways. The more we draw closer to Him and get in His word the better that we can resist temptation. Praise God for His word written to us. Psalm 119:11 {Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.} God bless you all.
Do not let your heart turn to her ways, do not do it, otherwise, you will eventually be found out and you will lose that which is most important to you. God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. And that applies to boh men and women.
