  1. Lust and sexual immorality is definitely a rampant issue in our world. We use sex for all the wrong reasons….to sell products, to control people, to hurt one another.
    God intended sex to be a beautiful thing between a husband and wife and its sad to see we are so weak to its misuse!

  2. Yes, Suzanne, if these words were shared with David’s daughter, then it would be the wayward man who she would be warned against. And yet men have a greater tendency to be attracted by things of the eyes and senses than a woman and women actually tend to be more noble focusing more on relationship than physical pleasure. But neither gender is freed from the responsibility they have to help the other gender be pure and neither gender can absolve themselves from their responsibility to keep themselves pure independent of what the other does. We are all wise to guard our hearts against sexual temptation in any form especially in our time when it is so readily available and all under the guise of privacy. It is a trap filled with much destruction in mind, body, spirit and relationships. David certainly knows that from experience and seeks to protect his son from it. 3. 1My son, keep my words
    and store up my commands within you.
    2Keep my commands and you will live;
    guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.
    3Bind them on your fingers;
    write them on the tablet of your heart.
    4Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,”
    and to insight, “You are my relative.”
    5They will keep you from the adulterous woman,
    from the wayward woman with her seductive words.
