  1. What a great verse. So much bad in the world, but God has overcome.
I particular like this – 31If the righteous receive their due on earth,
how much more the ungodly and the sinner!
    Vengeance is for God.

  2. While reading, it occurred to me how often the word righteous and its various forms are used in this chapter. We should pay attention as righteousness is what we are given when we accept Jesus into our hearts.

  3. I was thinking of Pastor’s teaching on the 4th and the principles of sowing and reaping. This Proverb certainly gives some practical lessons in the results of sowing to righteousness verses sowing to wickedness.

  4. As others have recognized, the value of righteousness as opposed to wickedness is highlighted, in various attitudes, action and speech. Several times the emphasis is on the wicked thinking they are getting away with something or thinking they will prosper from their behavior, but it ultimately leads to their own destruction. Other times it speaks of how others are affected by righteousness and wickedness and clearly showing that others are benefited by our righteousness as well. And naturally other times the emphasis is in what God thinks of the two opposites. All together, good reason to follow the path of righteousness instead of wickedness. Everyone will be better off!
