  1. How important these borders would be and what it says about God’s belief in property possessed by right and clear distinctions between what is your land and what isn’t. It Is also wise that in addition to the primary authorities selected to make the decisions there are representatives of each tribe to make sure each had input about how the lines were drawn.

  2. Again I looked at a map to see what land this encompassed.
In Joshua 1, it seems like they were given a lot more land, “wherever the sole of their foot will tread.” From those specifications, I think the land is/was from the Meditterranean, to the Black Sea, to the Euphrates, the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea and over to the Nile.

  3. 13Moses commanded the Israelites: “Assign this land by lot as an inheritance. The Lordhas ordered that it be given to the nine-and-a-half tribes, 14because the families of the tribe of Reuben, the tribe of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance. 15These two-and-a-half tribes have received their inheritance east of the Jordan across from Jericho, toward the sunrise.”
