  1. Further detail is given about these offerings focusing on the provisions that would go to the priests. They were to be dedicated to the Lord, and so as their needs were satisfied through the offerings that would not have to worry about how they would be taken care of. How important for the priests to remain focused on the worship of God and not the value to them of the offering. And blood and fat were to be reserved for sacrifices: blood because of it’s atoning value and fat possibly because of health concerns? It is connected to the aroma pleasing to the Lord as well.

  2. The priests had such important roles throughout all these sacrifices and God is always sure to make sure they are cared for throughout. Makes me think of how often when we step out in faith to follow God whether it be a move, a job change, giving financially and we may worry about the logistics of it all but God always provides when we are listening to Him and following His will for our lives.

  3. I am curious what is meant by “cut off from his people”. Is this a permanent punishment or temporary? I would think that some of these trespasses would require repentance and sacrifices of some kind and then restoration, but that is unclear.
