  1. 33 ¶ ‘And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him.
34 ‘The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

  2. ”‘And if you offer a sacrifice of a peace offering to the Lord, you shall offer it of your own free will.“
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭19‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This chapter is not only about dos and don’ts, but also about the state of the heart. Leave grain and grapes for the poor, be kind to the stranger, be fair in judgment, etc.

  3. How significant it is that our God, throughout Scripture, encourages us to treat people well, not taking advantage of them, but acting lovingly, justly, generously and kindly to them. We are to be honest and pure and regard God for who He is, giving Him all the honor that He deserves. How wise to recognize that loving God and loving people is a good summarization of the law and is at the backdrop of much of what we find in this chapter.
