  1. How fitting to add the account of the baptism of the Spirit the Apostles received since Jesus had promised them this very thing. He had only filled them with the Spirit before, but His death and resurrection allowed for them and us to be baptized by the Spirit. And how fitting that God would allow all those in Jerusalem to understand what was going on and language would not be a barrier. It is also not surprising that Jesus did far more than what the gospels communicate. He stayed busy and His miracles were numerous showing Him to be who He was: the Son of God and the Messiah of Israel.

  2. What an incredible experience to partake in the gospel of Jesus. From his birth to his ascension. Feel like I was part of this every day. Drawing closer. The words of God active and living!

  3. Once again this year reading this account of Jesus’ life , works, death, and ressurection during this season was so encouraging and faith building. The life of Jesus should never become just a “story” or too familiar as it is the very reason we are able to have a relationship with God, be filled with the Holy Spirit, and life eternal!

  4. I was thinking of Pentacost and asking were they speaking in tongues or hearing in tongues? The point was to unify and draw nations to Christ. Contrast that with the Tower of Babel where God confused their languages to scatter them. They tried to unite under their own power with false gods. God wants us to be United under His Son.

    1. I believe they were hearing in their own language and the disciples were speaking in a spiritual language that caused people to think they were drunk. To me, it makes more sense than the disciples actually speaking all the languages.
