  1. The Son of Man did not come for people to serve Him. He came to serve other and give His life to save many people. Could a better picture be painted for us in the type of life we should live. The example of a life of service that Jesus provided should leave us with no confusion about how we should live, not expecting from others but giving to others. Such overwhelming, unconditional, unwavering love demonstrated through the life of Jesus!

  2. Day 1 Advent 4.71-4.74
Jesus wants us to love him and listen to him like a child who trusts their mother and father without question or doubt. When I think of the eye of a needle and trying to push a camel thru I think that a very rich person having to sell everything to get to heaven. Workers in vineyard puts a whole different spin on what appears fair to in our eyes as apposed to Jesus. It’s best to never compare ourselves to another, thinking I did more than someone else because God doesn’t see things that way. We are just to do our very best!

  3. It’s hard to believe at some point that Jesus didn’t bang the table and scream at the disciples. They’re arguing about who was going to be the greatest in heaven, totally missing the point, but Jesus loves them to the very end. This blind man calls Jesus the son of David. He knows he’s the Messiah. How could he know this and the Pharisees miss this? He shamelessly cried out for Jesus attention and Jesus answered him your faith allowed you to see. So it’s the same for us to cry out in faith and Jesus will help us. I am touched this morning by reading about Jesus, reaching out to a tax collector that the Jewish people literally hated. I had a dream early this morning about someone I know that I don’t really care being in the company of, but in my dream he was asking me to help him draw near to God. I will reach out

  4. It is truly amazing that Jesus knew exactly what was going to happen to Him and yet He stayed on course. He even tells His disciples so they wouldn’t be completely surprised. And the reality of what was going to happen was kept from them for their own good. It would distract them from what Jesus wanted them to do and understand. And we can understand a mother wanting the best for her sons, but there is a complete misunderstanding of who Jesus is in this mom’s request. She was thinking in term of earthly power and influence, but in Jesus kingdom, service is where the true power and influence is to be found. And as an affirmation of who Jesus is, He provides both physical and spiritual sight to those who need both. The blind man needs physical sight and Zac needs spiritual sight to see the world and his role in it differently. And salvation is for all people, even the likes of a tax collector.

Eek, I typed this last night and forgot to post…

  5. Day 2 Advent 4.74- 4.77
The meaning I think was hidden also because Jesus knew it was beyond earthy understanding just how unspeakable the torture would be.
God is always in charge right down to where we will be seated in his kingdom.
The healed blind man did not go back to get his coat. He just followed Jesus
down the road. Jesus came to save lost people. Thank you Jesus!
