  1. The great commission given to the disciples and to us that we are to make disciples and spread the good news. I am sure after witnessing all Jesus had done during His time on earth, His death, and His ressurection these followers of Jesus were both excited to share and scared to share this good news. Certainly the nature and reason for Jesus’ death brought with it risks of teaching and preaching the gospel, as Peter will see and as Jesus tries to tell him. What an honor we have to be an extension of Jesus’ work here on earth even in the face of our own fears and doubts. We do not have even a fraction of the obstacles the disciples faced or people in other countries face even to this day and yet we still can let fear get in the way of our commission.
Lord I pray for boldness and opportunities to share my faith everyday knowing you provide the words and I am your servant.

  2. Peter restored cut to the bone. Every time Jesus asked do you love me. Different meaning. Peter’s profession has just changed. Fishermen. To evangelist. All scripture Old Testament points to the messiah. Jesus. It is finished!! Jesus is now seated in heaven with authority over all things in heaven and earth. Jesus ascends to heaven. Frightening for the apostles lived with them. Died buried rose from the grave. Promises to always be with them and us by the power of the Holy Spirit. As we can get to know him by studying the scriptures and prayer together at Living Hope Christian church. What a blessing and privilege!!!!!

  3. ”Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, “Lord, who is the one who betrays You?” Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “But Lord, what about this man?” Jesus said to him, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.”“
    ‭‭John‬ ‭21‬:‭20‬-‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God has work He has prepared for us to do. Sometimes looking to others can help us to discern what that is, sometimes it is a distraction and gets us off the path. “You follow Me.”
