  1. If Jesus didn’t die and rise, there would be no forgiveness of sin If Jesus didn’t go back to the Father there would be no Holy Spirit for us. And Jesus’s limited movement on earth would have us chasing Him all over the globe. No need for a mediator anymore the Holy Spirit gives us direct access to God. And speaking to us in all truths. You won’t see me. Then see me for a short time then see me again. In heaven. Peace. How about. Jesus our lord. Our best friend had overcome the world!!!!!.

  2. Lent 2025 – Day 17 & 18

Ask the Father in the name of Jesus and you will receive. Guidance for the apostles as well as all God’s children!

  3. Lent Day 18
Jesus leaves us with the helper, the Holy Spirit, but has to go back with the Father first. We should go to the Holy Spirit first as Jesus tells the Spirit of truth what to say to keep us from sinning. We should do this by consulting the Holy Spirit first as they are the Trinity all in one.
Jesus says my Father will give to you anything asked in my name. It will give us joy like no other. God loves us because we believed in the Son and that he came from God. Jesus says we will have peace. He has assured us we will have peace in the middle of the storm. We are to be brave since Jesus conquered the world.

  4. I think about how sad and heavy my heart gets every time I read of Jesus’ death on the cross. How awful the way He was treated and the cruelty He was shown as an innocent man. Yet when I think of the work that accomplished I am overwhelmingly and exceedingly glad that such a thing was done for me. That He covered a debt I could never pay and made a way for us to be in direct contact with our Father.
True sadness turned into such happiness!

  5. I think of how often I wish Jesus was still here on earth, but as Mark said, then we would have to chase Him all over the earth. The gift of the Holy Spirit alllows us access to God 24/7.
I thought this little booklet gave a good explanation/interpretation of John 16 and the work of the Holy Spirit in the world.
    – they are wrong about sin.
    – about being right with God.
    – they are guilty of sin, because they don’t believe in me.
    – how they are wrong about how to be right with God.
    – their judgment is wrong because their leader is already condemned.

”And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they believe not on me; of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.“
    ‭‭John‬ ‭16‬.

  6. What a gift the Holy Spirit is to us, but how amazing is it to consider the work He does in an unbeliever’s heart. How I pray that we see that more and more as people see the futility of life without Jesus and God in their lives and how wrong they are to reject Him and follow satan who had already been condemned. We have seen that at LHCC with people being draw to church because God led them. And the apostles don’t quite get it now, but it will make sense when Jesus is raised. And although they will abandon Him, Jesus realizes He is never alone. This is a reality that we too can cling to when we feel that life has got us down or people have let us down. God is always with us and Jesus promises to NEVER leave us or forsake us.

  7. The Holy Spirit is vitally important for us to understand who Jesus is and why he is the Messiah. Once we have that understanding, we can discern God’s truth and live our lives according to it. And Jesus had to die for us first and go back to the Father in order for us to receive it. Another reason why we he is our Lord, Friend and Savior.
