  1. The Ephraimites were never happy were they! First they don’t want to fight and ask Jephthah to do it and then when its done they are still complaining that they weren’t involved enough. After Jephthah we go through 3 more leaders each for short periods of time.

  2. It is a strange thing to get offended for not being called to battle, but on some level you wish people had that kind of passion to be helpful. But it is so important not to get reactionary in situations when an offense has been done and certainly never to threaten harm because of it. What benefit Jesus brings to direct and empower us to think of others more than ourselves and try to understand their behavior as opposed to judging them for it. It is unfortunate that after Jephthah explains why he did what he did, he still needs to fight them. And once again a quick turn around in leadership over the Jews but those leaders coming from different tribes.

    And just a heads up, for some reason my computer at home was not able to open the page where I approve comments. Assuming it is an issue with the page on the website as opposed to my laptop, but we will see….
