  1. Joshua in a great picture of humility and service to God, took land last after everyone else had received their share. And he received the same difficult land in the mountains of Ephraim like the tribe of Joseph knowing he would need to take his own advice and work hard to possess it.

  2. So the final tribes receive their allotment of land. Some will grow and flourish, others not so much. All are given their portion according to their size and need, thereby being fair and equitable. Simeon even is allotted a portion in the territory of Judah because Judah had too much. All this representative of how God is and how He does things.

  3. ”These were the inheritances which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel divided as an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. So they made an end of dividing the country.“
    ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭19‬:‭51‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Reading about this land allotment along with the book of Ezekiel I cannot help but wonder what God thinks of what is going on in Israel now. According to God, Israel, all the tribes, own a lot more land than they currently possess, but they were exiled for a long time and conquered many times! He promises to give them the land. I wonder how He will do it in a manner consistent with His word.

In our modern way of thinking, we wonder about those currently living in those places, surely there are believers in those areas. What about them?

    Time for the rapture.
